Congratulations KPNW retirees! You have successfully joined the KaPeRsNW web site.
Don't forget you can log back into your account any time by using the gray login box in the upper right corner of our site's home page at https://www.KaPeRsNW.com/!
IMPORTANT: In order to ensure you receive important messages from our class web site, as well as messages sent directly to you from other Retirees, it's important you whitelist the email address noreply@classcreator.net (that's a .net, not a .com).
What is whitelisting? Whitelisting simply means you are telling your email program to accept all emails coming from our class web site and our Retirees. The technique for whitelisting varies by email program, but generally you will see the term "Whitelist", "Safe List", or "Safe Sender's List". This is where you want to be sure you have added the email address noreply@classcreator.net.
Class Creator, the system that helps us operate our class web site, uses the address noreply@classcreator.net when sending out email messages. Be assured that all emails sent through our site are valid — you will not receive spam email. Whitelisting noreply@classcreator.net is the single most important thing you can do to ensure you don't miss anything happening on our site or miss receiving emails from your fellow Retirees.
Stop and take a moment to whitelist noreply@classcreator.net right now, and ensure you stay connected!
Please don't hesitate to email me if you need any assistance using our site. Thanks again for joining, and welcome aboard!
Sincerely,
Stephanie Schoap

Udated Message from Class Creator support. 12-1-2025
** For a non-technical answer to this issue see below starting with : "OK so you are getting an error message when logging in."
We recently received updated server root certificates that are occasionally sent by the certificate providers. It is possible some users have a cached/saved connection to the old root certificate as all certificates are verified by verifying the server/root certificate chain as well.
The update of the root server certificates is rare - it sounds like a few users systems may need to make sure they are pulling the most current certificates.
There are several ways their system can cache/save the connection
1. Locally in their browser which would be corrected by resetting their browser
2. Locally on their machine which would be corrected by rebooting their computer
3. Routers sometimes cache sites you visited recently or often and can take anywhere from a few hours to 48 hours to update on their own - in rare cases the user may need to unplug their internet router for 1 full minute and then reboot their computer and try again - this should clear all prior connections.
On some systems if their clock is off it will cause errors so you may want to have them check to make certain their clock is correct.
I just ran tests on every certificate on the server and all of them are valid and using the correct root certificates so everyone should be able to pull the most current certificates as long as their system isn't caching the old one.
They may also want to double check to make sure their web browsers are up-to-date while they are at it as some users do not auto-update their web browsers and they should be updated to keep up with security updates.

** We have re-written the technical message in the link above into hopefully more readable text. Please read below.
OK, so you are getting an error message when you try logging in.
Well, this can happen because the site has renewed its certificates and your system might have an old one that it is trying to validate. It’s pretty obtuse in new computers as to how to resolve this kind of problem because they try to help you too much. Here are some steps to take:
- Some browsers are not compatible with this site. For example, I tried first with my preferred browser (DuckDuckGo) and it failed. I tried Safari and it worked.
- Try registering on your phone.
- Try resetting your browser. It depends on your browser how to reset. It might be simply to close the browser and re-open, but this may or may not clear the browser certificate cache. No worries, try the next step.
- Try resetting your computer by doing a “restart”. This usually clears at least the temporary storage on the computer and resets things to your preferences.
- If resetting your computer doesn’t fix the issue, then it could possibly be your router that is keeping the old stuff in a cache, so reset it by unplugging it, waiting a minute and then re-plugging it in. In this case, you’ll probably need to restart your computer again as well.
- Very unlikely, but it is possible that your clock on your computer is not correct. That’s pretty easy to check as your phone should be accurate. You can (on most computers) re-set the clock by doing the computer reset restart, so if the clock isn’t reading correctly this means you may need to consult the computer company to learn how to fix that issue if there is no “reset clock” option on your computer.
- If all else fails, try a different computer.
