Maurice Comeau MD

Comments online:

- Morrie joined Kaiser Permanente as an ENT doctor 1971-1998.

-I worked with Maurice at the old Bess Kaiser hospital and then some.Enjoyed a lot of conversations with him over the years. A very articulate problem solver.  I was always happy to see him.

- I lived in same dorm at U of O with Maurice, our freshman year and was privileged to know him quite well. He was a great guy with a wonderful sense of humor.

 - I had the pleasure of working with Maurice in the operating rooms at Bess Kaiser Medical Center on many occasions. In addition to being a skillful surgeon he was kind, courteous and respectful to all the staff. In return the staff looked forward to working with Dr Comeau. Maurice was a strong advocate of high-quality patient care.
 - Maury and Billie have been like stand-in parents to me since we met in the late 90's. He'd always send me home with fresh produce from the garden & special jams he made from his orange trees. I still harbor a grudge against TSA when they confiscated his blackberry jam. His cooking was legendary! I wish I would've taken notes on those lessons & all the amazing stories he shared from his time in AK & Canada. He was a giant in his field and so deserving of respect.

- Dr. Comeau was the physician i was assigned to work with when straight out of Nursing school. He showed me the ropes. I was his Scrub RN @ BessKaiser & Interstate clinic 1973-1978. He taught me so much.

 - I was a colleague and friend of Morrie´s at Kaiser. Sorry to see this notice. What an interesting, interested, competent, just GOOD human being.

 - We are saddened to learn of brother Mo's passing. He was the oldest but not the tallest of the Comeau brothers, but he stood very tall among his fraternity brothers, friends, and fellow physicians. All honor to his name.

From Bess Kaiser Facebook Group:

- What a dear man. He gave me my interview when I applied to Perm for work.

- Was just thinking of him the other day. Besides working with him we were neighbors.

- I really liked working with him. Lovely man and caring doctor.
