Program: The Gift of Aging: Growing Older with Purpose, Planning and Positivity with author Marcy Cottrell Houle
We are delighted to welcome our guest speaker Marcy Cottrell Houle, MS, to our May 14 luncheon. The Gift of Aging by Marcy Cottrell Houle, MS, and Elizabeth Eckstrom, MD, MPH, MACP. blends frontline science with inspirational stories and insights from wise elders for aging with health, joy, and purpose.
This is the second collaboration between Ms. Houle and Dr. Eckstrom, the first being The Gift of Caring.
Marcy Cottrell Houle, MS, is a professional wildlife biologist and the author of eight award-winning books. Two of her books received the Christopher Award "for books that affirm the highest values of the human spirit." She is a recipient of The Oregon Book Award and the Oregonian's Best Book of the Northwest. Her work has been selected by The New York Times as a Best Book for Earth Day. She is a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times, The LA Times, and Globe and Mail, and has written for The Nature Conservancy Magazine, Cricket Magazine for Children, Reader's Digest, and Smithsonian Magazine.

Pre-registration is required. Doors open at 11:30. The luncheon price is $25 for members and guests. The last date to register online is May 6.
As a safety precaution, we suggest that you receive a flu shot and Covid booster. In case the event is cancelled due to weather or Covid guidelines, KaPeRs will forfeit our deposit. Be sure to give us your contact information on the registration so we can notify you.
